How do you expand \( (x+3)^2 \)?
=> \( (x+3)^2 \)
There are two way to expand \( (x+3)^2 \)
First,
=> \( (x+3)^2 = (x+3) (x+3) \)
=> \( (x+3)^2 = x (x+3) + 3(x+3) \)
=> \( (x+3)^2 = x^2 +3x + 3x + 3^2 \)
=> \( (x+3)^2 = x^2 +6x + 9 \)
Second,
\( (x+3)^2 \) [use \( (a+b)^2 = a^2 + 2ab +b^2 \)]
=> \( x^2+2 \times x \times 3 + 3^2 \)
=> \( x^2+6x + 9 \)
