Questions

How do You Simplify 6÷2(1+2) using PEMDAS?

What is PEMDAS?

I am going to share what is PEMDAS and how is important for ant student for calculation any number fraction.

  • P= Parentheses
  • E= Exponents
  • M = Multiplication
  • D = Division
  • A = Addition
  • S = Subtraction

You should calculate any number equation through PEMDAS.

For Example:

How do you simplify 6÷2(1+2)?

Solution :

Explanation:

So if we explicitly follow PEMDAS we find the following:

6÷2(1+2) =?

Dealing with the parenthesis first, we evaluate the expression (1+2) =3

6÷2(1+2) = 6÷2 x 3

6÷2 x 3 = 3 x 3

3 x 3 = 9

6÷2(1+2) = 9
